WV Solar Congress to focus on energy freedom and FirstEnergy campaign

In December, more than 75 solar supporters from across West Virginia attended WV SUN's first Solar Congress in Morgantown.

WV SUN, one of our founding coalition members, will feature envisioning a future of energy freedom for West Virginia at its second annual Solar Congress on June 24 in Moorefield.

The event is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Eastern WV Technical and Community College, 316 Eastern Drive. 

The West Virginia Solar Congress is a free public conference bringing together solar supporters, homeowners, installers, and advocates to discuss the state and future of solar energy in West Virginia.

The two major topic areas will be:

  • Envisioning a future of energy freedom for West Virginia with a focus on the First Energy campaign and ways to get involved.
  • Solar 101 offering resources for WV agricultural producers, solar basics for interested homeowners, and energy efficiency.
